Microsoft’s self-developed AI chips will be in mass production in 2027 as all work on design and capacity allocation remains smooth, media report, citing the head of Microsoft Taiwan, Sean Pien. Prior leaks had put production in the 2nd half of 2026. Pien said in the near term, the chips will power Microsoft’s internal needs, and won’t be open for third party use.
